“Project Mindful Mama is a dream come true; I hope we can help families while being mindful of their needs and the hardships they are currently facing.”
I’ve ended up in the pediatric ICU too many times to count. My late son Patryk suffered many unexplained health issues, and spent countless days and nights in the hospital, in his short life of five years. Recently I ended up back in the hospital with my sweet and shy three year old, Maxwell, who abruptly began having seizures in April of 2015. When in the hospital my son would not allow me to leave his bedside most days, baby wipes became mine and my sons way of showering or to wash my face before bed. I also wished I had a way to provide a small gift or distraction, but with no time to even shower, a trip to the store wouldn’t be possible. The movie hopefully will provide some comic relief with a heartfelt message. Every item we choose for this bag is very mindful of the entire families needs. Please help contribute to this project and help parents who may be going through one of the hardest times of their and their child’s life. As a parent who has been there, it is the most difficult thing seeing your child in pain. Any support means the world to those parents.
