French toast has many different versions, but my all time favorite is classic and simple with fresh whipped butter dolloped on top that melts as it sits. Then pouring over gently and slowly a good quality of real maple syrup. Sprinkle with a light dusting of powder sugar for extra sweetness….
If you own a stand mixer I highly recommend making your own fresh whipped butter for breads, french toast, muffins, pancakes ect… It takes just a couple extra minutes resulting in a light perfectly spreadable creamy butter. All you need is heavy whipping cream and sea salt. Nothing you can buy will compare! Adding that little extra home made touch is the difference between good tasting and phenomenal tasting!

Maybe now it will be your new favorite food. I’ve discovered many great ways over the years to cook asparagus and prefer it to be tender, lightly steaming the stalks prior to grilling. Then, splashed with balsamic and a sprinkle of good quality sea salt just before plating is my preferred way to indulge. This can be served warm or cold and makes for a great appetizer or side….
